Dear Friends,
The greatest enemy to Christian communication is predictability!
Many of you will share my passion to see the Christian message reaching into mainstream media all over the world.
We must stop sitting back at the periphery of mainstream secular culture and thought, waiting for spiritual revival to mysteriously appear and win over the masses.
We must be more deliberate and strategic in positioning the Christian worldview and message so that it impacts secular culture, through the media.
EDGES is making inroads into secular media networks in several parts of the world. Talks are ongoing with some world-renowned media groups. EDGES can be seen in over 200 nations - with people from 90 nations also watching via the Internet (in countries including China, South America and the Arab nations).
EDGES series 6, which is now in production, will be a key to taking this to the next level. With series 6, we want to:
· Break down the wall that exists between secular broadcasters and Christian producers.
· Open a window on the Christian message to people who refuse to be preached at in their own homes.
· Pioneer a path into media that will benefit many others in years to come.
· Make the job of local churches easier, by sowing the seed in a colourful, creative and impacting way.
To do this, we need help from our many friends - right now.
Our total budget for production of series 6 is €60,000 Euro ($100,000 Australian dollars, $70,000 US). We have, by God's grace, raised half of that amount. God is faithful to his call!
To go forward with phase two of production we need to raise pledges and gifts totalling €30,000 Euro ($50,000 Australian dollars or $35,000 US).
We need 50 Churches and Individuals who will give €600 Euro ($1000 Australian dollars, or $720 US) before the end of November so that we can proceed with production and break through the media wall.
Of course, if you are unable to give the full amount, but still want to be involved in breaking through to secular media, we will gladly accept any seed you want to sow - no gift is too small.
