In the lead-up to the 2020Plus Civic and Business Leadership Event in Stoke-on-Trent, UK recently, Mal Fletcher appeared on BBC Radio talking about the role of leadership in shaping the future of cities.

'The key is not how much power the leader has in him or herself,' said Mal. 'It's about how much they're willing to empower others to be inventive.'

'Leaders articulate vision, map out strategy and marshal activity to create an environment in which people feel confident in their own ability to create and solve problems.'
