Strategy 2000 Meeting
Next W@ve International continues to reach further into Europe through the growing influence of the EyE (Euro Youth Events) Network.
Next W@ve recently hosted a meeting of the key leaders of its Youth Events. Major leaders from 7 nations joined together for two days of talks aimed at developing strategies to see whole nations impacted through the youth event model.
Reports of what God is doing in these major cities and nations were outstanding.
Mal Fletcher brought the keynote message of the weekend, sharing from Isaiah 54:2 'Enlarge the place of your habitation.'
Mal said, 'God is calling the church in Europe to prepare for increase, and the rebuilding of Europe's spiritually "desolate cities". This is not a time for us to hold back, or forfeit our rights in God. We need to be lengthening our chords - building leaders who can handle the growth challenges ahead. And we need to strengthen our stakes - getting our lives and faith deeper into the promises God has made to us.'
Next W@ve's youth events are now running in the following centres: - Copenhagen (Youth Alive), - Amsterdam (Amsterdam Youth Events), - Trondheim (Youth Alive), - Helsinki (Youth Alive), - Dublin (Xposure), - Stockholm, - Tallinn (Youth Alive).
In each case, the events are beginning to have a national and international impact, with young people and leaders coming in from some hours away. Many leaders are seeking to copy the model in relationship to the main centre which will offer resources and ongoing inspiration.
Please pray with us that we will see desolate cities rejuvenated.
