SMS Message From God!

SMS MESSAGE FROM GOD!
Those simple words were the buzz with young people throughout the city of Trondheim, Norway. Young people were asking their Christian friends: 'What's God's mobile number? I want to send him a message!'
They also formed the title of Norway's second Youth Alive event held in a major Trondheim sports hall.
The first event, held late last year, was a great success, but this one blew all expectations! Over 700 young people bought tickets and 40 people made commitments to Christ in a memorable night.
Mal Fletcher preached a powerful message called, strangely enough, 'An SMS From God'. He said, 'There are thousands of people in Trondheim right now who are sending out an SOS to God, because of loneliness and insecurity. God is sending an SMS back to you!'
He spoke about God's advertising symbol, the Cross, that tells us God understands our SOS, and did something about it.
Guest band Stereo Fish from Bergen, Norway were outstanding. This was their first appearance in one of Next Wave's events - but it won't be their last.
The worship was powerful and there was an amazing sense of God's power in the place.
Odd Avre Rĝed and his leadership team are building something that will touch all of Norway in days to come. Already, other leaders throughout the country are wanting to copy the model which was launched here in co-operation with Next Wave.
The team will host another Youth Alive event as part of a national youth conference run by Odd Avre during Easter. The date: Thursday 20. Mal Fletcher will be there, along with a host of other guests. The conference also features artist Rebecca St. James... and more!
