Favour Beyond Comparison!

Ephesians 2:6-7 'And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.' (NIV)
According to the apostle Paul, you and I have a very important role to play in this world – and this universe. Through us, God is showing that his favour is totally beyond compare. Have you ever heard two passionate sports fans discussing the relative merits of two teams, from different eras? 'The team of '96 was the greatest team ever,' says one. 'You're kidding, aren't you?' says the other. 'You can't even compare that team with the team of '85!' According to sports fan number two, the two teams aren't even in the same league – one is so far beyond the other that you shouldn't even be mentioned in the same breath. That's how it is with God's favour upon our lives. Through us, God wants to show that when he decides to favour a person, they're blessed in ways that are just beyond compare. In other words, no other favour compares with his favour. We have an incredible calling! What is favour? It is the smile of heaven beaming down on our lives. It makes us stand out from the crowd, as if there's a spotlight on us, a light of grace and mercy. Even in our hard times, we can walk with our heads held high. So, no matter what life is throwing at you right now remember this: God is demonstrating through you – if you let him – just how fantastic it is to belong to him!
Prayer: 'Lord, I want you to show to my world just how amazing you are – through me. Please shower your favour on me so that everyone can see that being your child is the greatest thing in life. Through me, show others that your favour is beyond compare.'
