Ephesians 3:18 (The Message) 'I ask [God] that with both feet planted firmly on love, you'll be able to take in with all Christians the extravagant dimensions of Christ's love.'
One of the things God will use to shape a sense of call into your life is what I call your revelation values. These are the priorities that have come to you as a result of the spiritual or supernatural experiences of your life. Paul wrote to the Ephesians about the 'extravagant' love of God. That's amazing. You see, Paul was once a Pharisee – in fact, he was a leading Pharisee, a model of Pharisaical thinking. Pharisees were not known for their generosity of spirit – in fact they were among the meanest people you could hope to meet, and very self-righteous. But Paul had a personal experience, a revelation, of God's incredible generosity through Christ. That revelation became a core value of his life and ministry. God wants to bring revelation into your life, to shape your call for the future.
Prayer: 'Lord, show me what you are like – in such a powerful way that it changes my whole way of seeing life and my future.'
