The Kingdom In You

Matthew 6:33 'But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.'
The Kingdom of God should be the core of our life's goal. What is the Kingdom? It is wherever the love and rule of Christ redeems and transforms human hearts, relationships and institutions. It all starts in the heart of man. That's where the problem of sin begins, so it's the first territory the Kingdom must recapture. When you were born again, you received the Kingdom within you! You see, you can't get into God's Kingdom until the Kingdom gets into you. Once you're transformed on the inside, the Kingdom then spreads through your attitudes and actions to influence and change everything it touches around you. It changes your relationships and it transforms the groups and institutions of which you are a part – your workplace, your college and so on. All you need to do is release the power of that Kingdom, by living out the Kingdom values Jesus gave us.
Prayer: 'Jesus, help me to put the Kingdom of God first. Help me today to live out the values of the Kingdom as you gave them, so that the power of your Kingdom transforms the world I live in.'
