Philippians 2:12-13 'Therefore, my dear friends … continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.'
The Bible is very clear: we won't see the full outward manifestation of God's Kingdom until Jesus returns. That's going to be a great day! The kingdoms of this world will come under the reign of their rightful king – Jesus Christ, God's Son. Until that great day arrives, however, we need to let people see what the Kingdom is life, by working out or salvation – letting our newborn spiritual life pervade every attitude and explode into every outward action and word. As we let the Kingdom flow out of us to others, we bring ourselves and others closer in line with the great plan and purpose of God. As we consciously work out our salvation, letting its power affects all of our behaviour, we also see our desires locking in harmony with the desires of God for our lives. Then, God can work his good pleasure out through us.
Prayer: 'Lord, help me today to let the power of what you've done inside me come out through every word and action. I want to desire and to work out what is pleasing to you.'
