Equippers Church London

18 October 2004

London is a strategic centre not just for the UK, but for Europe as a whole. So it is not surprising that God is raising creative, pioneer churches in London that are focussed on outreach and influence. Recently, Mal Fletcher spoke at the Equippers Church, London.

Pastor Bruce Monk pioneered the church. Bruce built a great church in Auckland, New Zealand, before leaving it to plant the church in London. Mal said, 'This is a church that will make a real mark on London. I felt I was speaking into a seed that would one day grow to be thousands-strong.'

Equippers Church is very Gen-X in its makeup and, though it has not been around for long, it is already showing signs of becoming a very influential group.

'This place really has the feel of the pioneer spirit about it,' Mal added. 'I know something of what Bruce Monk must have felt when he left a thriving church in New Zealand to start again in London. But he is living proof that putting the Kingdom first is the only way!'

Bruce's son now leads the church in Auckland. It is part of a growing network of churches also under Bruce's leadership.
