News about the affair and attempted marriage patch-up involving TV celebrity Paul Hollywood has raised questions in the British press and media about what makes middle-aged men take risks with their relationships - and whether marriages can be repaired afterwards.

Mal Fletcher, the social commentator, was interviewed by the BBC's Mike Parr about what makes men take such risks and whether, as some claim, affairs can be helpful to a relationship.
