Media Missions to a New Level
This year, the Lord has extended our media boundaries on every side. The 'EDGES with Mal Fletcher' programs have been showing in over 70 nations on Christian broadcast outlets and they are now breaking new ground in major secular outlets. The launch on the Seven Network, Australia and on SABC 1 in South Africa were major answers to prayer. Mal says, 'God has told me that millions of people will be impacted by our TV programs, all over the world. They have a long shelf life because they're produced with excellence, so a number of major broadcasters are repeating them several times.' Early in the year, the major production sponsor for this series, number five, had to pull out suddenly. Mal knew that God wanted us to push forward - and we did, in faith. Within a few months God had provided the full sponsorship money from generous church leaders and individuals. Over the year, God also brought us into alliances with some other major media leaders who share our passion for a new kind of global mission. Mal adds, 'We are very serious about speaking where people are listening. We now have other media projects in the planning stage. I watched Mal's inspiring EDGES presentation on bioethics. Scientists who do genuine research are a boon to humanity. Physicians do everything they can, fighting to save a life. This is based on the image of the Creator in every human being.
