Developments In Mass Media
During a recent meeting of the board of management for Next Wave International in Europe, the comment was made that, 'this ministry is redefining how the gospel is preached in Europe.'
In line with that, Next Wave International will seek to extend its reach by developing a new series of TV programs designed specifically for release on the secular market. We will also be launching new uses of our popular EDGES series, possibly including an EDGES education pack for use in schools and colleges and EDGES DVDs (in response to many requests!). We will continue to build our witness through radio as well.
Next Wave International will extend our reach on the Internet, too, with a major redesign and relaunch of the www.edges.tv site, which had 65,000 separate visits in just 9 months of last year. The new-look site will include special access to many more research materials on the major issues of our time.
Our main site at www.nextwaveonline.com will be extended and enlarged and we will be launching the exciting Church Online vision, an opportunity for unchurched people to experience contemporary church. Our goal is to use the Internet to get people to hook up with real time churches.

Hi Mal, Re: megachurch church vs a more organic model: I know God works regardless of how we think he should but it seems that the organic way is more appealing to the average person than the marketing of Jesus...

Since discovering the Edges documentaries and the way Christian faith relates to hot topics, my faith has grown. Don't stop doing what you do - you do it well!

Thanks for keeping us on our toes, Mal! As Christians living in today's ultra-pragmatic culture, our choices need to recognize the present reality while seeing it through the perspective of our God-revealed future.
