Planet Shakers 2004
One of the truly great youth events in the world is Australia's Planet Shakers, held in January every year. Planet Shakers brings together thousands of young people for times of incredible worship and life impacting teaching, from some of the world's leading contemporary Christian communicators.
This year, more than 14,000 young people attended over four weeks, in three state capitals: Adelaide, Brisbane and Perth.
Mal Fletcher was again one of the featured speakers, along with Reggie Dabbs (USA), Chris Lewis (USA), Glen Berteau (USA) and a host of Australia's finest speakers.
After the event, Mal had this to say: 'For me, this event has a very special significance every year, firstly because it has grown out of Youth Alive. Second, because it is just such an amazing event and so full of the presence of God. And finally, because it is led by a man whom I believe is a major leader in his generation, Russell Evans. To use a word from one of the Planet Shakers albums, this is really a "phenomenon".'
