In the first week of May, Mal Fletcher spoke at the Empowerment Conference hosted by Speak the Word Church International, in Minneapolis, Minnesota USA. Pastors Randy and Roberta Morrison lead both the church and the conference. Other speakers included Pastor Casey Treat (Seattle), Dr. A.R. Bernard (N.Y.) and Dr. Mensa Otabil (Africa).

After the conference, Mal said, 'This is a great church. They're embarking on a building that will seat more than 5000 people. Pastor Randy's vision is to build not just a church, but also a legacy of faith for generations to come. I really felt at home with these people, and I'm looking forward to staying connected.'
