The October Youth Alive (UK) Confluence leadership conference brought together creative, passionate new generation leaders from across the UK. Mal Fletcher was the special guest speaker and described the event as, 'A great sign of what's to come with a new breed of Christian leaders arising in the UK.'

During the conference, there was a transfer of the national leadership role to Glyn Barrett who is based in Sheffield. Glyn's annual event 'Audacious' is emerging as one of the fastest growing and most impacting Christian youth events in the nation. Mal challenged the leaders to seek long-term influence in the nation by engaging with the future and shaping cities more than cities shape them.

'I was privileged to be indirectly involved in the birth of Youth Alive in the UK, back in the 80s and early 90s. The movement is now set for real influence. If these youth leaders really live out their stated dreams and strategic plans, they will re-shape how people see youth culture.'
