Community Influence
During his month-long speaking tour of Australia, Mal Fletcher visited one of Australia's most influential churches, Southside Christian Church in Adelaide.
Southside has grown in just over ten years to become one of Australia's leading churches. The EdgeNet conference run by Senior Pastor Danny Guglielmucci, is also growing in influence in various regions of the world.
Mal spoke to the Southside Church over four sessions, combined with a special leadership session during which he outlined the power of generational influence and highlighted the shaping characteristics on each of the major generations which are currently influencing world affairs.
Mal reports that, 'Pastor Danny and his team are continuing to push ahead with some very exciting innovations which will ensure that this church continues to have a major influence in Adelaide and Australia and beyond for many years to come.'
Southside is fast establishing a reputation as a church which is pioneering a new approach to community service, with major projects involving, for example, the renovation of hospitals and schools in the community. The Next Wave International office in Australia is located within the Southside Church and we are indebted to the ongoing commitment of Executive Pastor Gary Rucci.
