Shortly, the EDGES
TV programmes will launch on a Turkish station and across Indonesia,
the largest Muslim nation in the world.
Meanwhile, the shows are seen in more than 200 nations (and 100 nations
via the Internet - including parts of China and the Middle
East).
Mal Fletcher,
producer of the series says, 'There's never been a time when global
evangelism has been as urgent as it is now. Making magazine
documentaries allow us to speak into areas that wouldn't accept
preaching programmes.'
He adds: 'It's more important than ever that we keep providing our
audiences with up-to-date programmes on the big issues.'
To help fund the production - and keep production values high - Next
Wave International has launched Club25; twenty-five churches, organisations and
individuals who will each make a one-time donation of the equivalent of
£500 (GBP).
At the time of writing, 16 key churches have signed on.
Mal adds: 'This is an ideal opportunity for church missions groups to
help share the Christian message with many thousands of people -
millions, with all the re-runs. All for a relatively small one-off
donation.'
