History is Made!
'HISTORY MAKERS' was a brand new music festival for Denmark -- and it is set to make some history of its own in coming years!
Special guest artists included Rebecca St. James and Band from the USA (pictured). Her performance was packed with seriously tight music alongside a challenging call to live full on for Christ.
Denmark is, of course, well known as host of the annual Roskilde music festival -- but that one could hardly be called honouring to God! And that's where History Makers is unique.
Born in the visionary heart of Allan Lorenzen, leader of Music Alive, this innaugural festival event was held in the Congress Centre at Herning in Jutland, the Danish mainland. Held over 2 days, it brought together over 700 people from across the mainland, and some from Copenhagen. The crowd was not enormous, but the atmosphere was seriously challenging!
Over 70 young people came to Christ for the first time, following the powerful messages of people like Mal Fletcher (Next W@ve International - pictured) and Christine Caine (Youth Alive NSW, Australia). Christians were challenged, no-holds-barred, to live for heroically for Jesus.
As with any music festival event, though, the time largely belonged to the artists, who included:
- B.i.G. (Sweden) - Ultrabeat (Sweden) - Expect A Miracle (Norway) - Nina (Finland) - Minor Prophets (Denmark) - and more
The event will grow next year and will become more of a national venture bringing people from across Denmark and further afield.

Mal, you've inspired a new move of God in the arts, media, and all things cultural. Viva la revolution! We're taking over The World!

I heard Mal speak at the Emerge Conference in Brisbane. Thanks for reminding us that Gen-Xers can create, build and mould the world NOW by being proactive rather than reactive.
Kabamba, Australia
For Mal Fletcher: thank you kindly for the nice words about my book, "No Time To Think: The Menace of Media Speed and the 24-hour News Cycle". Glad you enjoyed it and felt a need to comment on it.
