LEADERSHIP 2000! - Above and Beyond!!
LEADERSHIP 2000 was billed as being a unique master class intensive for European leaders -- and it definitely did NOT disappoint! In fact, it went way beyond expectations.
Seventy leaders and emerging leaders from seven European nations came together for what all will remember as one of the most significant leadership training events in recent years.
The major teachers were:
- Winkie Pratney (New Zealand / USA)
- Mal Fletcher (Next W@ve International)
- Christine Caine (Youth Alive NSW, Australia)
Each one brought a powerful perspective on where GenX and GenNeXt are situated in terms of God's plans for planet earth.
This was definitely no lightweight affair. The master classes were thought-provoking and in-depth as well as passionate and fun. Leaders were taking notes as fast as their hands would allow -- and trying to stave off RSI in the process!
Major areas of study included: Communication, Media, Culture, Leadership, Internet and much more.
The three evening sessions were impacting, with powerful times of worship and messages from the three main speakers which could only be described as prophetic!
Comments are already flowing in to the follow-up online web area. People appreciated the depth of the studies, plus the fact that each of the speakers brought a different angle on the truth which was central to the week -- God has a special design for GenX and Gen NeXt.
Next W@ve has scheduled two Leadership Intensives for Europe in 2001 -- each of 5 days duration:
- LEADERSHIP NOW! -- May, Trondheim, Norway
- LEADERSHIP NOW! -- October, Newport, Wales.
The mission of each of these Intensives is:
To help Christian leaders in both church and community to present the Good News to contemporary cultures in a way that is relatable, real and creative.
