Church Thrives in Oktoberfest-Land!
The Gospel Life Centre in Munich, Germany recently celebrated its 26th anniversary.
Pastors John and Mirjana Angelina started the church with a handful of people in their living room. Today it is a thriving and continually growing community dedicated to evangelising Germany as a whole.
Regular readers of this news site will know of the long association between Gospel Life Centre and Next Wave International.
Mal Fletcher visited the church on the day of its 26th anniversary, to share a powerful message on vision.
During his visit, he said: "It's been a few years since I was last in this church. It's great to see the growth that's taken place in that time, both in terms of numbers of people who have joined with the church and in the impact the church is having in Munich."
"Most people know Munich for its annual Oktoberfest celebration, which brings many thousands of people from around the world. In fact, my visit this time coincides with Oktoberfest."
"God has given my good friend John Angelina good favour even in this festival, where he is regularly unable to share his faith. In fact, some of the most influential people in this festival regularly attend the church."
Gospel Life Centre is also seeing good results through its regional TV broadcasts and its use of creative theatre to present a Christian stories and values.
A specially designed theatre forms part of the church building complex and many have come to Christ as a result of the theatrical presentations directed and written by Mirjana Angelina.

Thanks for your visit to St. Louis & the thoughtful messages you brought. I am challenged to be a city on a hill, and to not be hidden.
Perhaps on your next visit, you could join in the push-up contest or drive the motorcycle. Best wishes for continued success.

A great article on 'Hybrid Stem Cell Research'! It is not only highly relevant to current research but also shows how just a little initial compromise will eventually cause an unstoppable downslide in ethical standards with irreversible outcomes.

Mal, you have changed my life. Since you spoke at Get Smart Youth Conference in Wellington, in 2003, I have never been the same. I still have the tape & my heart & head are still coming to grips with what you said. The pioneer spirit. I LOVE IT!! Thank you so so so so much!
