Leadership Beyond Recession - Christian Media Challenges In Recession

Media is facing major challenges during the current recession. But, according to Mal Fletcher, the challenges extend further than the area of finance.
During a recent address to media, charity and community leaders in Stoke, UK, Mal addressed some of the challenges facing media and other leaders in this economic downturn.
"Without moral leadership - based on conviction rather than pragmatism," he said, "administration is left at the mercy of expediency."
"Without good leadership, people started doing what is convenient in place of what is right. We saw this with the recent MPs expenses scandal here in the UK."
"In terms of media, our challenge is to speak where our world is listening. When I ask some Christian leaders, 'whom do you want to reach?', they will reply, 'everybody'."
"But in today's highly segmented world, where the trend to globalisation is matched by an equal trend toward tribalism, we need to think more demographically about our audience. One size does not fit all, and one approach or style of presentation won't reach everybody."
This presentation is a great tool for any leader who aspires to become more effective, flourishing in the midst of recession!
