As Britain records its first ever contempt of court case citing Facebook as an influence, what does the future hold for this and other social networking sites?

As numbers of Facebook users shrink in the UK and the US, and many people engage in the trend called 'de-friending', people are asking whether social networking has a short self-life.

Mal Fletcher looks at some of the strengths and weaknesses of the social networking phenomenon in a series of recent interviews for BBC Radio.
