How did you come to faith? What's your backstory?

During a recent visit to Manchester, UK, Mal Fletcher was asked about his personal journey of faith in an interview by BBC Radio's Mike Shaft.

He was also asked whether he thinks religion has any role to play in modern western society, and how one can have faith in the face of such terrible disasters as the earthquake in Haiti.

My son is 21 months old & has full Edward's Syndrome. He is a happy, beautiful child & gives so much to so many people. His life is as worthy as any other child. I believe the medical profession should help parents to want to give their children a chance of survival.
